Winter Blitz

Winter Blitz

Our Winter Blitz weekends allow you to take a break from the challenges of the school year to refocus on your relationship with God! Youth leaders can choose between three weekends that are specifically designed for 7th-12th grade students. Individual campers are invited to attend Winter Blitz 2, February 4-6, and will be in a cabin with other teens and one of our volunteer cabin leaders to experience authentic community together. Each week features the same activities but different speakers and worship leaders. In the case of no snow, other activities will be substituted.

Weekend Theme

The message of these weekends is to teach that there is meaning in our suffering and waiting. We as Christians have an ultimate hope in the coming resurrection and the promise of new creation, but we also have the promise of new life today for those who are in Christ Jesus. Students will be encouraged that God in his sovereignty can make something beautiful out of the sin and messes we’ve made in our life. Part of the gift of being in him is being a completely redeemed new creation. There are no parts of our story that will not be redeemed by him. Students will also be challenged to see how God works in the world to bring about good for those who love him. After Covid, youth today need the encouragement and reminder that even amid something like this, God is still at work and bringing about a new creation.

“Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation…” 2 Corinthians 5:17-18
