Youth Leaders
Winter Blitz retreats give you the opportunity to offer a life-changing experience to your youth without worrying about the details. We coordinate the retreat while you invest in your students, grow together, and grow as a group. Youth leaders are $110 per person. For every ten students you bring, one leader attends for free. A $55 deposit per student is required to secure your youth group’s registration. Register your youth group at the link below. If you have questions, you can email info@blbc.com or call 269-244-5193.

Weekend Theme
This year’s Winter Blitz theme is “The Journey.” Life is like a road trip—each of us is headed in a direction, but have you stopped to consider where you’re going, who is guiding you, and what you’re bringing along? Our theme verse, Psalm 32:8, reminds us of God’s promise to “instruct you and teach you in the way you should go.” Throughout the weekend, campers will explore what it means to follow Jesus as their guide, rely on His Word for direction, and trust Him with the journey of their lives. Jesus said, “I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). What an incredible truth to hold on to! We serve a God who not only secures our eternal destination but walks with us every step of the way. Our prayer is that campers leave this weekend with peace, confidence, and joy, recognizing that their ultimate journey is in the hands of a perfectly trustworthy God.

They currently live in Kalamazoo, MI, and are a part of H2O Church where they help love and serve the students and community around WMU and Kalamazoo. Mike has a passion for storytelling and for helping people see the beauty and mystery of God in their own everyday life!

Dave Mead started his journey in music as a kid traveling around with his parents who were singer/songwriters. Music has been a way for him to connect with things that tend to lie deep within the soul of humanity and get them out. For the last 10 years, he has been performing as a solo artist and with a band. His passion for people and music has driven him to create high-quality environments that result in opportunities to look at who we are, why we are here, and where we are going.

Allan has a passion for studying the wisdom of scripture and how it helps us grow in our relationship with God and people. He works for Legacy Ministry Services helping to support camps and other ministries. Outside of work, Allan enjoys reading, sports, and spending time in the great outdoors. He lives in Dearborn, MI with his cat, Steve.

Pastor John absolutely loves his wife and the local church. After over 13 years of following a passion to reach people for Jesus, God led John and his wife Ceci back to Metro Detroit with the vision to start New Anthem Church. He loves God and loves people deeply, with a passion to see the lost meet Jesus. John also loves concerts, disc golf, and late night worship sessions.
